Every so often something will happen, or I notice something familiar, and I say to myself, “Hey, I have a poem for that!”.
Today? A little patch moss on the retaining wall.
Here is Set the Magic Free:
Fairly lands sit quietly in sidewalk cracks
waiting to awaken with your ideas.
You see these mossy little wonder worlds,
squished between growing roots,
and you feel the magic.
The princess is saved.
The trolls go to sleep.
A miniature family eats dinner at an acorn table.
Finally, magic revealed.
It will still be here tomorrow,
free and available to any who look.
